Kristin and George celebrated their wedding day at The Pennsylvanian in downtown Pittsburgh. Their Wedding was in held in November after the sunset under the rotunda. Their elegant wedding incorporated color pallets of lush greenery, red, black and gold accents.
Kristin and George both got ready on site, which made it extremely easy for them with no additional stress of travel. They held their ceremony under the rotunda right after the sunset in downtown Pittsburgh. The warm cozy lights reflected on them as they said their I do’s.
Following their ceremony the couple chose to have their portraits under the rotunda. The Pennsylvania is one of our favorite wedding venues because of the drool worth backdrop.
The Couples Details
When did the two of you meet: At school (Virginia Tech) in 2015
How did the two of you meet: We both worked at bars at Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, VA) and our friends were friends. One night we met and just clicked right away.
Where was your first date: 622 North in Blacksburg Virginia – we go back once a year!
How did you begin dating: We met when I was leaving for a new career in Nashville. George had one year left of grad school at Virginia Tech so we started dating long distance which was tough. I knew he was the one when I jokingly asked him to be my date to a work Christmas party and wasn’t sure if he would show up. He surprised me and I knew he was the one after that.
How did the proposal happen: He proposed to me in Aruba. He snuck the ring to my mom and had them come to Aruba the same week (my mom played it off like they had it planned long before we decided to go). We went for a walk on the beach and he proposed on a pier off the beach. It was amazing! I had been suspicious but never found a ring so he completely surprised me.
What were you most looking forward to on your wedding day: Just being with friends and family. and the amazing bar and flowers!
What was the best moment on your wedding day? Honestly every moment was perfect! Some highlights were my first dance with my husband and my mother singing the song for my dance with my dad. Also my maid of honor and bridesmaids made my day unbelievably special. They came together for me in a way I could have never imagined.
