The Georgetown Centre Wedding

We were lucky enough to have had the opportunity work with Patience & Stephen on their special Wedding day. Their Wedding was held at The Georgetown Centre located in Pittsburgh, PA. The Georgetown Centre is a great location if you live or have family and friends in the West Mifflin area. Patience and Stephen decided to get ready at Hampton Inn Pittsburgh, located in West Mifflin. If your having your Wedding at The Georgetown Centre, definitely consider hotels in the area. It made the drive extremely easy for the entire bridal party as well as vendors.

Following the getting ready part of the day, Patience and Stephen decided to do a first look at the local Arboretum. The bridal party hoped on the bus and we headed to the first look location. The Arboretum was a small area with lots of open sunlight. As a photographer, it is my job to find the best light for our clients. We found a tiny little shaded area and chose to do the first look here. It was absolutely beautiful.The sunlight came dripping in right behind Patience and Stephen, which provided us with just enough light to capture their intimate moment. A lot of couples are on the fence about first looks, but secretly I am always so happy when they decide to do one! It’s just an emotional intimate moment between the couple which also makes for a great photo opportunity and moment to look back on through out the years.

After the first look, we all headed back to The Georgetown Centre for the ceremony part of the day. The ceremony was held right in the reception room which was convenient for the guests as they were seated in their seats for the reception that followed.

As a photographer, the one thing I really love about The Georgetown Centre is the huge wall of windows they have. It allows so much light into the reception room which is absolutely gorgeous. Another great thing about this venue is that once the sun goes down and it starts to get dark out, they have these beautiful lights on the ceiling that add to the ambient lighting at the reception. Once the reception started, everyone was immediately on the dance floor and ready to party!

We are honored that Patience and Stephen chose us to document their day. It was truly a blessing to have been at their wedding as well as worked with a couple as sweet as them.
